Hepburn

The Hepburn Shire Municipal Fire Management Planning Committee was established in May 2009 and has a membership representing the Hepburn Shire, Country Fire Authority staff and volunteers, the Department of Sustainability and Environment, Parks Victoria and the Plantation Industry (represented by HVP) and Victoria Police. Other agencies and organisations may be co-opted as required.

The committee have produced their first Municipal Fire Management Plan which has been adopted by Council. The next step for the committee is to consider cross boundary bushfire risks and urban structural fire risk assessments. The committee is supported and directed in its functions by the Grampians Regional Strategic Fire Management Planning Committee.
