Gippsland Region
The Gippsland Regional Strategic Fire Management Committee (RSFMPC) was established in November 2008, with meetings held bi-monthly. Committee members are drawn from the Country Fire Authority, Parks Victoria. Department of Sustainability and Environment. State Emergency Service, Victoria Police, Department of Human Services, SP-Ausnet, Telstra, Hancock Victorian Plantations, Department of Primary Industry ,Vicroads, Department of Planning and Community Development Baw Baw Alpine resort, the six Gippsland councils and also includes Municipal Fire Management Committee (MFMPC) chairs.
The RSFMPC published a draft Regional Strategic Fire Management Plan in June 2011.
