Loddon Mallee Region

The Loddon Mallee Regional Strategic Fire Management Planning Committee was established in 2008. The Committee is represented by Country Fire Authority, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Department of Human Services, Victoria Police, Vic Roads, V/Line, Buloke Shire, Campaspe Shire, Gannawarra Shire, Mildura Rural City Council, Swan Hill Rural City Council, City if Greater Bendigo, Central Goldfields Shire, Loddon Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire, Mt Alexander Shire, Coliban Water, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Department of Primary Industries, Goulburn Murray Water, Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water, Lower Murray Water, Parks Victoria, Powercor, SP Ausnett, and Vic SES.

Municipal Fire Management Planning

All ten municipalities in the Loddon Mallee Region have gone through the process of allowing community to provide input into their draft Municipal Fire Management Plans. MFMPCs in the Region have considered all feedback and are now in the adoption phase of the process.

In order to get plans to a final version as required by legislation set out in the Emergency Management Act (1986), all plans are to be endorsed by both the MFMPC and the MEMPC. Once endorsed by both Committees, they have been passed to Regional Committee for comment prior to being considered by each of the MFMPCs respective Council for adoption.

Once plans have been adopted by Council, they will be available to view on this website.
