North & West Metro Region

The Northern and Western Metropolitan Regional Strategic Fire Management Planning Committee was established in April 2009 and has a membership representing the Country Fire Authority, Metropolitan Fire Briagde, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Parks Victoria, Aviation and Rescue Firefighting Service, Department of Human Services, Department of Planning and Community Development, DEECD, Department of Primary Industries, State Emergency Service, Victoria Police, VicRoads, Melbourne Water, SP Ausnet, Vline and member Councils in the Northern and Western Metropolitan Region.

The committee endorsed the Northern and Western Metropolitan Regional Strategic Fire Management Plan at its May 2011 meeting in Ivanhoe.
